Marlies, 36 cm/14 in, has a mohair wig, crystal glass eyes and a small bag of sand in her body. There is also an elastic band at the back so that she can sit up or lie down. Like all Stein dolls she wears a sewn nappy. Marlies is dressed in an orange woolen pant with appliqué trim, a green-yellow horizontally striped shirt over which she wears a green jacket with a frilled hem. Marlies also wears a cream felt hat with floral trim and blue-gray stockings.
